I will be the first to admit I’m not a pro at cooking. But when I do cook, I really try hard LOL… I’m going to start documenting my favorite dishes I make as a recipe book for myself and anyone else who asks, starting with Christmas dinner.
My dear friend, who I consider a second mother, is an amazing Mexican cook and she helped me pick out all the ingredients and make the masa for the tamales from scratch.
We made two different tamales, one with a salsa verde and the other a salsa rojo/mole sauce.
The tamales became a hit at my sister’s Christmas party!
